But What Is It?

Another excellent example of over-engineered military gear - why so many bolts to hold the case together? R209 was intended to be used as the receiver set of transmitter stations Wireless Set 53 or Wireless Set 76. It is built on 'miniature' principles - having its own vibrator power supply and using low-voltage valves.
