Marconi were moving to the British standard design towards the end of the 1950's evidently - this model is cheaper (by £2) than the T24 portable of 1950 - and features the usual low-cost construction methods.

Although my example is rather grubby, this is actually a rather handsome set with careful use of gold/brass trim and a pleasant blue colour scheme.
